Friends Life t20, Edgbaston |
Somerset 59-1 (7.1 overs) v Warwickshire. Match abandoned, no result. |
Only 7.1 overs could be bowled before rain ruined Warwickshire's home FL t20 match against Somerset.
The visitors batted first and in-form Nick Compton scored 26 off 19 balls with Craig Meschede unbeaten on 19 when the match was abandoned.
Chris Wright claimed the only wicket to fall when Peter Trego top-edged an attempted pull shot and wicketkeeper Richard Johnson held on to the catch.
Somerset have now gained six points from their four T20 matches so far.
They were on 41-1 after 5.2 overs before the first stoppage and less than two overs were possible when play restarted before a heavier downpour forced an early abandonment.
The cancellation sees more frustration for Warwickshire after their home game against Worcestershire last Friday was washed out and three days of England's Test match with West Indies were also ruined by poor weather.
