Somerset thrash sorry Northants in FL t20

Somerset (116-3) beat Northants (115-6) by 7 wkts

England one-day wicketkeeper Craig Kieswetter's fine half-century helped unbeaten Somerset to a seven-wicket win over sorry Northants in the FL t20.

Steve Kirby, George Dockrell and Arul Suppiah each took two wickets as the hosts posted a meagre 115-6 - including a run of 62 balls without a boundary.

Somerset eased home with 38 balls left, Kieswetter smashing 51 off 35 deliveries and Richard Levi 35 off 18.

Northants remain bottom of the table while Somerset have four wins from six.

Captain Alex Wakely top-scored for the visitors with 34 off 43 balls.
