Kevin Pietersen guides Surrey to victory over Sussex

Kevin Pietersen hit an unbeaten 36 from just 16 balls as Surrey achieved a seven-wicket win in a rain-affected match against group winners Sussex.

Luke Wright hit 54 from 27 balls as he and fellow opener Chris Nash (41 not out) smashed 104 from nine overs.

Rain then interrupted the match to leave Surrey needing 62 in five overs, Pietersen hit three sixes to ensure they reached their target.

Sussex will face a home quarter-final against Gloucestershire.

The hosts had already won the South Group going into the final round of matches, while Surrey finish bottom with six points.
