Somerset 129-1 (16.1 overs) beat Gloucestershire 125 (20 overs) by nine wickets

Somerset maintained their push for a place in the FL t20 last eight with a nine-wicket win over local rivals Gloucestershire at Bristol.

Gloucestershire's hopes of progression were already over before this game.

Batting first, they could only total 125, Somerset paceman Alfonso Thomas taking 4-35, while Peter Trego's three overs went for just seven runs.

But the visitors made light of it, Craig Kieswetter (61) and Chris Jones (53no) helping them home on 129-1.

Somerset are back in action within 24-hours, against Worcestershire at New Road on Saturday, when victory would seal their quarter-final spot.
