T20 Blast: Rain washes out Birmingham Bears v Yorkshire

The T20 Blast game between Birmingham Bears and Yorkshire was abandoned without a ball being bowled because of torrential rain at Edgbaston.

Before weather scuppered proceedings, the hosts received news that Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik has arrived early for his spell with the club.

But he will now have to wait until next Friday (30 May) to make his Bears debut in the away game against Lancashire.

Yorkshire are next in action at home to Derbyshire the same evening.
