Surrey openers Jason Roy and Hashim Amla each scored fifties to beat Sussex by 10 wickets with 27 balls to spare.
Sussex started well before losing three wickets for three runs, reaching 148-5 thanks to Ed Joyce's 45 from 32 balls.
Surrey made light work of the chase, Roy smashing 11 fours and two sixes for a 43-ball 81, while Amla made 61.
Kevin Pietersen never made it to the crease as Surrey earned their third South Group win to stand fifth in the table, four points off the top.
