Swindon 0-2 Oldham

Relegated and managerless Swindon continued their dire end to the season with a home defeat by Oldham.

A terrific solo effort from Chris Taylor, who cut in from the left and slammed home from 25 yards, gave the Latics the lead.

Taylor then sealed the win with a low drive from the edge of the area after Swindon failed to clear their lines.

Matt Ritchie had a header well saved by visiting keeper Dean Brill but the Robins were soundly beaten.

POST-MATCH REACTION

Oldham Athletic player-manager Paul Dickov told BBC Radio Manchester:

"I thought we were excellent at times today, had a good team shape on us and scored two really good goals.

"Chris (Taylor) has got that in his locker and what we've wanted to do this year is try and get the best out of him.

"With the youngsters we had out there to come away and get three points is fantastic."

Swindon Town caretaker-manager Paul Bodin told BBC Wiltshire:

"We had a few chances. They had one or two opportunities which they took. Oldham were very clinical, Chris Taylor in particular.

"Overall I'm quite pleased, the game went ever so quick. I really enjoyed it.

"When you're out there and at the sharp end of it, there are probably one or two players that don't give everything."
