Curtis Obeng pledges future to Wrexham

Curtis Obeng has signed an 18-month contract extension with Wrexham.
The new deal ties the 22-year-old full-back to the Blue Square Bet Premier club until January 2013.
"We came so close to reaching our goal last season, that it would be a shame not to see if we can go on and finally achieve promotion next year," he said.
Obeng, who played 36 league games last season as Wrexham lost in the play-offs, is the 11th player to pledge his future to the Racecourse outfit.
Lee Fowler, Adrian Cieslewicz, Nathaniel Night-Percival, Neil Ashton, Obi Anouro, Leon Clowes, Johnny Hunt, Jamie Tolley and Joslian Maybei are the others to sign new contracts since the end of the season.
"It's looking like virtually all of the squad will be back again in 2011/12 and while Andy Mangan has decided to move on, it will be interesting to see who the gaffer brings in to freshen things up," added Obeng.
"Once again it will be a tough challenge, as the number of ex-League clubs just keeps growing, while the standard of the whole league continues to rise.
"I've enjoyed my time at Wrexham and can see the team evolving, as we head in the right direction."
Manager Dean Saunders is close to signing a new striker to fill the void left by Fleetwood-bound Mangan, external.
