Northampton Town have signed Peterborough defender Kelvin Langmead on a one-month loan deal.

Langmead, 26, who can also act as a striker, played under Cobblers boss Gary Johnson during his time in charge of the Posh, external.

Johnson told the club website, external: "He will give us some more experience in an important position and he will improve the squad.

"We've taken him for a month and we'll see where we go from there."
