Guernsey FC's top scorer Ross Allen hit four as the island side crushed Sheerwater 9-0 at Footes Lane.

Dominic Heaume scored a hat-trick while Luke Winch and Matt Loaring also hit the net for Green Lions.

But there was no debut for Guernsey-born New Zealand Under-17 player Rhys Jordan after his international clearance failed to come through.

"The boys played great football and that took the legs out of Sheerwater," assistant manager Colin Fallaize said.

"They battled hard for half an hour and really worked hard, but the last quarter of an hour of the first half they were starting to be a little sluggish and a little tired," Fallaize added to BBC Guernsey.

The win sees Guernsey go six points clear at the top of the Combined Counties League Division One, although second-placed Bedfont Sports have two games in hand .
