Stockport County sign Joe Edwards on loan from Bristol City

Stockport County have signed defender Joe Edwards from Bristol City on a one-month emergency loan deal.

The 20-year-old full-back has made two appearances for the Robins after progressing through their academy.

Last season Edwards spent a two-month spell at Blue Square Bet Premier side Bath City, making 12 appearances.

Bristol manager Keith Millen told the club website: "He's been working very hard in training and this move will give him the chance to play matches."
