Sheringham scored his first professional goal on Monday

Bournemouth have been boosted by the news that striker Charlie Sheringham did not suffer a broken ankle in the 1-1 draw with Brentford on Boxing Day.

Sheringham scored his first Cherries goal before going off injured but x-rays showed he did not suffer a break.

"He will have a scan on Friday to see if there is any ligament damage," boss Lee Bradbury told the club website.

Bournemouth were also boosted with the news Adam Barrett, Michael Symes and Steve Fletcher are back in training.

"Symes and Fletcher both trained so I've got a couple more back," Bradbury told BBC Radio Solent.

Meanwhile, Bradbury will also have Harry Arter back from suspension for the trip to Yeovil.

"It will be a boost to have Harry back, he can play in behind the front man or sit in midfield so he is a good person to have back," added Bradbury.

"He is a bright young footballer, has a big future ahead of him and I'm looking forward to having him back in the squad."
