Chesterfield have signed Huddersfield Town defender Liam Ridehalgh on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old recently returned from a loan spell at League Two side Swindon Town, where he made 13 appearances.

Ridehalgh had looked likely to stay with the Robins and told BBC Wiltshire an extension had been agreed, but he returned to Huddersfield last week.

Terriers boss Lee Clark told the club website: , external"I feel it will benefit him further to be back in League One."
