Blair Adams remains at Northampton Town on loan

Sunderland defender Blair Adams has extended his loan spell at Northampton Town by a month.
The 20-year-old left-back joined the Cobblers in early January and has gone on to feature five times for Aidy Boothroyd's side.
Northampton have won one of their five games since his arrival and currently prop up the Football League.
He had a spell at League One Barnet before Christmas, where he scored once in nine games.
Meanwhile, striker Akwasi Asante has returned to Birmingham City after completing his month on loan at Sixfields.
The 19-year-old made four appearances and scored once, in the win over Morecambe, external.
