Preston North End have signed Torquay United centre-back Chris Robertson and Cork City striker Graham Cummins for undisclosed fees.
Robertson, 25, was out of contract at Plainmoor in the summer.
He joined the Gulls in March 2007 from Sheffield United and was the club's second-longest serving player and played 199 games for Torquay.
Cummins, 24, has been voted the Irish PFA's Player of the Year for the last two seasons.
