Carlisle United striker Lee Miller will see out a three-match ban after the club's appeal was rejected by a Football Association panel.

Miller, 28, was sent off in Saturday's 4-0 League One defeat by Hartlepool United, and will miss fixtures against Chesterfield, Stevenage and Tranmere.

"We are extremely disappointed," managing director John Nixon told the official website, external.

"We reviewed the evidence and felt we had a strong case."
