Oldham 2-1 Walsall

Walsall lost to Oldham after Alex Nicholls missed an injury-time penalty.

Filipe Morais smashed a shot in off the crossbar to give the Latics an early lead, while Florent Cuvelier hit a post with a fierce drive for the visitors.

Robbie Simpson extended the lead with a smart volley after some neat control, and Cuvelier pulled one back thanks to keeper Alex Cisak's error.

But Cisak made amends at the death when he saved Nicholls' spot kick after Will Grigg was fouled by Jean Mvoto.

Dickov praises Latics wide players

"The last two weeks as a group we've done a lot of talking and training and for the majority of the game it worked.

"When you're ahead in games, when you're on top you have to do the simple things right and that's what got us 2-0 up but then we stopped doing it.

"We scored our goals by getting our wide players in the game and I think Keanu [Marsh-Brown] did ever so well for his first 90 minutes.

"I know it's me being daft and stupid but we've got 20 games left and I want to try and win every single game."
