Doncaster Rovers have signed Habib Beye on an 18 month contract, subject to international clearance.
Rovers signed the Senegal international from Aston Villa on loan in November, but have concluded a permanent deal after the Premier League club cancelled his contract.
Rovers manager Dean Saunders told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I'm delighted, Habib is a world class player."
The 34-year-old has made 10 appearances for Rovers since arriving in November.
