Sheffield Utd 2-2 Stevenage

Matthew Lowton scored a late equaliser as Sheffield United came from behind to rescue a point against Stevenage.

Joel Byrom swept in Patrick Agyemang's cross to give Stevenage the lead before Scott Laird's deflected long-range effort made it 2-0.

Substitute Richard Creswell pulled a goal back for the Blades, heading in Ryan Flynn's cross from the left.

Lowton then put the scores level, volleying into the roof of the net from James Beattie's knock down.

The result sees Sheffield United move to within a point of Sheffield Wednesday, whose win againsy Brentford earlier in the day saw them leap-frog their city rivals to take possession of the second automatic promotion place.

Stevenage move back into the play-off places on goal difference at the expense of Notts County, who had temporarily displaced the Boro after they beat Wycombe earlier on Saturday.
