Sharps, 31, previously played for the Millers between 2006 and 2010 before joining Shrewsbury Town, where he played 48 games this season to help the side win League Two promotion.
Both players will join the Millers on 1 July when their current deals expire.

The signings follow the recent arrival of strikers Daniel Nardiello and Kayode Odejayi.
