Carmarthen Town 1-1 Swansea City XI

Swansea were held to a 1-1 draw in a pre-season friendly at Welsh Premier side Carmarthen Town.

The Swans were without most of their big-names who are on a tour of the United States.

But a youthful Swansea line-up had enough chances to claim victory against an imposing Carmarthen outfit.

Rory Donnelly put Swansea 1-0 ahead but ex-Afan Lido midfielder Jonathan Hood levelled the score just before half-time.

The Premier League outfit created enough chances to secure victory against the part-timers but lacked the clinical edge in front of goal during the second half.

Swansea play Blue Square Bet Premier side Newport County in their next pre-season friendly at Rodney Parade on Tuesday.
