Notts County 0-1 Bradford

James Hanson's extra-time strike gave League Two Bradford a surprise victory over Notts County in the Capital One Cup first round.

In a game of few chances, Bantams keeper Matt Duke superbly kept out Yoann Arquin's attempt to divert Alan Judge's cross-shot into the net.

Duke parried an injury-time Lee Hughes effort to Arquin but he hit the bar from three yards to set up extra-time.

Hanson won it with a curling effort into the top corner from 18 yards.

Notts will take time to gel - Curle

Notts County manager Keith Curle told BBC Radio Nottingham:

"We had enough chances in the first half to win the game and, with the cup competition, you are always thinking if they get one chance they are going to take it.

"We have brought in a lot of new players and it is going to take time to gel. We haven't exactly hit the ground running.

"It only takes a second to score a goal and that can change the whole dynamics of any game."
