Andy Bishop has had his loan at Wrexham cut short after being recalled by Bury.

The striker's move was disrupted by a delay processing his international clearance but Bishop settled quickly and scored two goals in four games.

Kevin Blackwell took over as Shakers manager last week and wants to assess his full squad options.

"It's a shame that we're losing him, especially with Rob Ogleby turning his ankle in training this week," said Wrexham player-manager Andy Morrell.

"I've known Bish for quite a while and he certainly enjoyed his spell with us. He brought a different dimension to the team and I'm sorry to see him departing.

"Hopefully, his time with us will help him as individual and we can only thank him for his efforts on our behalf."

Bishop, 29, is expected to go straight into Bury's squad as the League One strugglers seek their first win of the season at home to Swindon on Saturday.

Wrexham, meanwhile, continue their promotion bid at home to Blue Square Bet Premier leaders Forest Green.
