East Stirlingshire were held to a draw at Ochilview as 10-man Stirling Albion picked up only their second away point of the season.

Gary Thom put the visitors ahead after 23 minutes when he rose highest to head home Kieran McAnespie's deep cross.

The Binos defender went from hero to villain 15 minutes later as he was shown a red card by referee Kevin Graham after being adjudged to have denied Michael Herd a goalscoring opportunity.

The hosts made their numerical advantage count in first-half stoppage-time, Jordan Holt getting on the end of Mark Begg's corner.

Greig McDonald's men almost went ahead for a second time but Grant Hay made a good save to block Alex Cunningham's strike from distance.

Kevin Turner and David Greenhill both went close for the Gable Endies in injury time, but they were unable to force a late winner.
