AFC Bournemouth: Addison & Elphick face injuries lay-off

Bournemouth have suffered a double blow with captain Miles Addison out for the rest of the season and fellow defender Tommy Elphick to miss four weeks.

Addison, 24, has not played since injuring his right foot in the 2-2 draw with Bury last November.

Elphick suffered a knee injury after a bad tackle by MK Dons striker Ryan Lowe on 2 February.

A scan showed that the former Brighton player, 25, suffered soft tissue damage on the outside of the knee.

He does not require an operation, but is likely to miss the Cherries' next six matches at least.

There is some better news for manager Eddie Howe with new signing Ryan Fraser and long-term absentee Charlie Sheringham both returning to training and they will be available to play for the development squad from next week.
