Sean Mackle's goal gives Portadown a 1-0 victory over relegated Lisburn Distillery at Shamrock Park

Sean Mackle secured all three points for Portadown thanks to a delicious flick into the top corner from a Ross Redman cross with nine minutes left.

David McCullough and Scott Davidson went close for the Whites in the first half while Darren Murray and Mackle had chances for the Ports.

David Miskelly saved Davidson's 52nd minute penalty and the home goalkeeper also denied Jordan Hughes.

Portadown finish seventh in the league while Distillery are relegated.

McCullough fired straight at Miskelly early on while Davidson curled the ball over the bar a minute later.

Murray was off-target on two occasions while Mackle blasted wide.

Davidson missed a gilt-edged opportunity to score from the penalty spot after he had been brought down in the area by Gary Breen.

Mackle's late strike ensured a fine end to an otherwise disappointing season for Ronnie McFall's outfit.
