Striker Andy Mangan has re-signed for Forest Green Rovers on a free transfer on a three-year deal.

The 26-year-old previously had an 18-month spell at the New Lawn, scoring 26 goals in 46 games, before leaving to join Wrexham in 2010.

Mangan's stay at the Racecourse Ground ended in July 2011 when he agreed a move to Fleetwood Town., external

He scored 24 goals in 59 appearances for the Cod Army, but was released at the end of this season.

"It's great to be back," Mangan told BBC Radio Gloucestershire. "I have some amazing memories at Forest Green and hopefully it continues.

"I didn't have to be persuaded. I know the ambition of the club and they've got everything in place to go up the leagues and I want to be a part of that."

Former Blackpool trainee Mangan was linked with a return to Wrexham, but manager Andy Morrell said he could not afford to re-sign the forward.
