MK Dons have signed midfielder Ben Reeves on a one-year deal following his release by Southampton.

The 21-year-old made 13 senior appearances for Saints, where he came through the youth academy.

Reeves spent the latter part of last season on loan at Southend and scored the goal that put the Shrimpers into the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final.

He is MK's first permanent signing of the summer and the club have the option of a further 12 months on his deal.

"I was at Southampton for 12 years so it's been different looking around other clubs but I'm happy to be here in Milton Keynes," he told the club website., external

"I feel I've definitely picked the right club. I love the way the team play and I'm really looking forward to being part of things here and hopefully help the team push on."
