British Universities goalkeeper James Belshaw has signed for Nuneaton Town.

The 22-year-old, who recently graduated from Duke University in North Carolina, has been on the books of Walsall and Chicago Fire in the MLS.

Belshaw was also part of former Boro assistant James Ellis' GB squad that earned a silver medal at this month's World University Games.

"I've played a few games for Nuneaton over the past week and it feels great to sign a contract," Belshaw said.

"It's nice to finally settle somewhere and I will be able to gain lots of experience.

"My focus at the moment is on Nuneaton and I think we can push for the play-offs this season."
