Blackpool's deal to sign Middlesbrough full-back Frazer Richardson on loan has collapsed after the Seasiders sacked Paul Ince as manager, reports BBC Tees.

Richardson's last appearance came in November's loss to Leeds United - Aitor Karanka's first game in charge of Boro.

The 31-year-old only moved to Teesside in August, and started 10 of the club's 12 Championship games before previous boss Tony Mowbray left the Riverside.

But under both caretaker Mark Venus and Karanka he has been out of favour.
