Greenock Morton 1-1 Cowdenbeath

  • Published

The Scottish Championship's bottom two sides drew at Cappielow as Greenock Morton fought back to hold Cowdenbeath.

John Armstrong opened the scoring for Cowden, heading high into the net within the opening quarter-hour.

Rowan Vine nodded over and Scott Taggart's shot suffered a similar fate as basement side Morton pressed.

Garry O'Connor's free-kick was saved by visiting goalkeeper Thomas Flynn but he was finally beaten when Archie Campbell struck late on.

And so Kenny Shiels' side remain nine points of Cowdenbeath, who move to within four points of Alloa Athletic.
