Jordan Bowery: Doncaster Rovers sign Aston Villa striker on loan

Doncaster Rovers have signed young striker Jordan Bowery from Aston Villa on an initial one-month loan.

Bowery, 22, joined Villa for a fee reported to be around £500,000 in the summer of 2012 after an encouraging start to his career at Chesterfield.

He scored 17 goals in 102 appearances for the Spireites having made his debut at the age of 17, but has yet to score in 18 matches for Villa.

He will make his Doncaster debut in the game against Barnsley on Saturday.
