Hartlepool: Sunderland duo Harrison and Oliver sign up

Hartlepool United have signed Sunderland pair Scott Harrison and Connor Oliver on loan until the end of the season.

Harrison, 20, is a centre-half who spent a month at Bury earlier this season, making one appearance.

Right-back Oliver, also 20, returned to full fitness before Christmas after spending almost a year on the sidelines through injury.

Pools have seen their play-off push falter after consecutive defeats.

Pools manager Colin Cooper watched both players feature as substitutes in Sunderland Under-21s' 1-0 win over Fulham earlier this week.
