Ian Goodison's spell at Tranmere Rovers is over after the League Two-bound club released him, ending his 10-year stay.
The 41-year-old former Jamaica centre-half has scored 13 times in 410 matches since joining the club from Hull City.
Fellow defender Callum Morris, 21, has left having failed to play for Rovers, while 29-year-old striker Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro departs after two years.
Jason Koumas, Steve Jennings, James Wallace, Ash Taylor and Jason Mooney have been offered contract extensions.
Young defender Antonie Boland has already agreed a new one-year deal.
Meanwhile, the club has confirmed they are in discussions with midfielder Joe Thompson, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment.
