QPR midfielder Yossi Benayoun has signed a two-year deal with Maccabi Haifa to return home to Israel.

Benayoun, 34, made 17 appearances for the Hoops last season, scoring three goals as Harry Redknapp's side secured a return to the Premier League.

The former Arsenal, Liverpool and West Ham player won the Europa League with Chelsea during nine years in England.

Benayoun, who spent four years at Haifa from 1998 to 2002, said: "I'm happy to come back and wear the green shirt."
