Hereford could face extra sanctions from the Southern League after failing to pay their football creditors by Friday's 17:00 BST deadline.

Sources close to owner Tommy Agombar told BBC Hereford & Worcester that cheques owed to last season's staff were due to be sent out on Friday.

The amount owed to creditors, including former boss Martin Foyle and his players, was reported to be £148,000.

Some of those debts have been cleared by Agombar, the Bulls new owner.

And it has been confirmed that a number of administrative staff have been paid.

Following their expulsion from the Conference on 10 June, they were accepted into the Southern League Premier Division for next season on Thursday.

But the Southern League are due to hold their annual general meeting on Saturday.

The Southern League's decision came a day after it was announced that Agombar had stepped down as a director of the troubled club.

Chairman David Keyte and former manager Colin Addison, who assisted interim boss Peter Beadle over the final weeks of last season, are now the only current listed members of the Bulls board.
