Sascha Riether: Fulham defender joins SC Freiburg

Riether made a total of 72 appearances for Fulham during two seasons at Craven Cottage

Fulham have sold defender Sascha Riether to Bundesliga side SC Freiburg for an undisclosed fee.

The 31-year-old right-back made 31 appearances for the west London club last season as they were relegated from the Premier League.

Riether spent the 2012-13 season on loan at Fulham from FC Cologne and then made the move to Craven Cottage permanent last summer.

The Germany international made a total of 72 appearances for the Whites.
