Swindon have signed Jon Obika from Tottenham for an undisclosed fee and taken Southampton's Jack Stephens on loan until the end of January.
Spurs academy graduate Obika, 23, has signed a two-year contract with the League One club.
He previously had a loan spell at Swindon in 2011, external and also spent time with Yeovil, Millwall, Crystal Palace, Peterborough, Charlton and Brighton.
Defender Stephens, 20, played 10 times for Town during his loan last season.
Speaking about Obika's arrival, Swindon boss Mark Cooper told BBC Wiltshire: "He's a different to the player that was here a couple of years ago.
"He's a strong, quick forward who can score goals. I really like him and I think he'll do really well.
"He was one we were always keen on getting but there were always Championship clubs after him.
"He felt that's where he should go at the time so we've had to be patient. We've finally got him."
