Paul Huntington scored against his old club to help Preston North End keep pace at the top of League One with victory over Yeovil.

Huntington headed Paul Gallagher's cross into the top corner to give the visitors an early lead.

Yeovil saw Ryan Inniss sent off midway through the second half after a two-footed challenge on Kyel Reid.

Kevin Davies then found Gallagher on the break to consign Yeovil to their 10th defeat of the season.

Yeovil manager Gary Johnson told BBC Somerset:

Gary Johnson: Yeovil Town manager on Preston loss

"I thought they were a very experienced team and have a lot of experience in their squad as far as league games are concerned.

"I thought that showed on the day, we had a lot of play and our inexperience showed when we went 1-0 down from a set play that we've been working on all week.

"They just got on to the header; we made the mistake, lost him and now you're chasing the game.

"Of course the second goal comes later on. We're down to 10 men, we'll have to look at the DVD. I'm not sure if it was a strong tackle or whether it was a bad tackle."
