Hibernian midfielder Alex Harris has joined Dundee on loan, with Dens Park striker Martin Boyle going in the opposite direction.

The loan deals for both players last until the end of the season.

Wide man Harris, 20, could feature in Dundee's home game against Ross County on Sunday.

It is understood manager Paul Hartley is hoping to add at least one more player to his Dundee squad during the January transfer window.

Harris, who made his Hibs debut in 2012 against Dundee, featured 16 times for Alan Stubbs' Championship outfit this season.

Boyle, 21, joined Dundee from Montrose in 2012 and has scored four goals for the Dens Park men.

The forward has featured 22 times for Hartley's Premiership side this season, scoring one goal in the 4-0 League Cup win over Raith Rovers at Dens.
