Tubbs has played 42 games for Bournemouth, but 28 of his appearances have been from the bench

Bournemouth have terminated Matt Tubbs' contract by mutual consent ahead of a potential move to Portsmouth.

The striker had been on a season-long loan at AFC Wimbledon, but Dons boss Neal Ardley confirmed the Cherries had triggered a clause to recall Tubbs.

The 30-year-old has scored 15 goals in 30 appearances for League Two AFC Wimbledon this season.

Tubbs joined the Cherries in January 2012 and has also had loan spells at Rotherham and Crawley.
