Serie A leaders Juventus earned their first win at Napoli in 15 years to move three points clear of Roma.
Second-placed Roma pulled level on points with a 2-2 draw against Lazio, but slipped further behind after Juve's victory later on Sunday.
France midfielder Paul Pogba's volley opened the scoring for Juve before Miguel Britos levelled after half-time.
Martin Caceres bundled home for Juve at the far post before Arturo Vidal fired into the top corner late on.
Fiorentina moved into the top six with a thrilling 4-3 win over Palermo.
Fifth-placed Sampdoria ended a three-game run without a win to remain in the hunt for a Champions League place thanks to Eder's 49th-minute strike in a 1-0 home victory over Empoli.
