Cardiff City's Etien Velikonja moves to Lierse on loan

Cardiff City striker Etien Velikonja has joined Belgian club Lierse on loan for rest of season.

The 26-year-old Slovenian international joined the Bluebirds from NK Maribor in July 2012.

Velikonja has made one league start and two as a substitute for Cardiff City since his arrival and went on loan to Rio Ave in Portugal in January 2014.

Cardiff City said in a statement: "We'd like to wish Etien the very best of luck during his time away."
