York City have signed Walsall left-back Malvind Benning on a month's loan.

The 21-year-old has played 15 times in League One this season, but his last start came in October's loss to Crewe.

Benning is the second player to join the Minstermen's League Two relegation fight this week, after striker Emile Sinclair signed on a free transfer.

"I started the season in the Walsall team but I've been a sub recently. It's been frustrating to be honest, I just want to play," he told BBC Radio York.
