St Mirren seek SFA talks over refereeing standards

St Mirren are to seek talks with the Scottish Football Association over the standard of refereeing.

The club are furious with a number of recent incidents in which decisions have gone against them.

Caretaker boss Gary Teale was incensed by two major incidents during Saturday's defeat by Dundee.

Teale sought out referee Steven McLean for an explanation after the match and the manager said the official stood by his decisions.

The first incident involved Gary Irvine scoring an equaliser from what Teale felt was an offside position. Later, Yoann Arquin was shown a second yellow card for simulation, bringing the striker's match to an end.

The Paisley club's hierarchy are known to be furious with a number of decisions in recent matches and plan to broach the subject with senior figures at the SFA.

The SFA said they would await any correspondence.
