Luton Town have signed midfielder Ryan Hall from Championship side Rotherham United on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old, who has signed an 18-month contract, previously played under manager John Still whilst on loan with Dagenham and Redbridge in 2008.

The former Crystal Palace trainee joined the Millers from MK Dons last summer and scored once in two starts.

Hall joined Notts County on loan in November and made six appearances before returning to Rotherham.

"He has the ability to make things happen. He's definitely a plus for us. I hope his spell at Kenilworth Road is a fruitful one," first-team coach Hakan Hayrettin told BBC Three Counties Radio.

Meanwhile, Luton survived a late fightback from Cambridge United to win 3-2 and stay in the League Two promotion hunt.
