Clyde made a double signing on deadline day by securing striker Keigan Parker and midfielder Scott McLaughlin.

And they sent two strikers out on loan, with Michael Daly joining Petershill and Kevin Watt also going to junior football with Kirkintilloch Rob Roy.

McLaughlin, 31, signed an 18-month contract after leaving Ayr United.

Parker, 32, agreed a deal until the end of the season after leaving another League One outfit, Airdrieonians, by mutual consent.

The former Scotland Under-21 striker began his career at St Johnstone before spells with Blackpool, Huddersfield Town, Hartlepool United, Oldham Athletic, Bury, Mansfield Town, Fleetwood Town, Stockport County, AFC Blackpool, Fylde, Ayr United, Cork City, Irvine Meadow and Shettleston.

McLaughlin began his career with Hamilton before moving to Livingston, Greenock Morton, Airdrie United, Ayr, Queen of the South and Peterhead before returning to Somerset Park in 2013.

Meanwhile, former Motherwell and Celtic midfielder Paul Slane, who also had loan spells with MK Dons and Partick Thistle, was also released by Ayr after only three months at Somerset Park.

Ayr in turned have signed Jordan Preston on loan from Blackburn Rovers.

Former Hearts and Leicester City winger Joe Hamill has also been released by Airdrieonians and has moved to junior outfit Bonnyrigg Rose.
