John Marsden: Lincoln City sign Southport striker on loan

John Marsden has scored six goals this season

Lincoln City have signed striker John Marsden on loan from Conference rivals Southport for the remainder of the season.

The 21-year-old started his career with Shrewsbury and joined Southport at the start of the current campaign.

Marsden has made 30 appearances for Southport this season, but only 16 of those have been starts.

He did not score in his first 14 games, but then scored five goals in eight matches and has six goals in total.
