Diego De Girolamo: Sheffield United forward returns to York

Diego De Girolamo scored his first goal for Sheffield United against Preston last month

York City have re-signed Sheffield United forward Diego De Girolamo on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old spent time on loan at Bootham Crescent earlier this season, scoring four goals in eight games.

Blades boss Nigel Clough confirmed on Monday that the Italian Under-20 international would be leaving the League One side at the end of the season after turning down a new deal.

De Girolamo tweeted: "Couldn't be happier to be rejoining York on loan."
