Jordan Hugill scored five goals for Port Vale in his only season with the club

Striker Jordan Hugill has joined League Two side Tranmere Rovers on a month's loan from Preston North End.

The 22-year-old moved to Deepdale from Port Vale in June and has scored twice in six games for Preston.

He last featured on 13 September and has struggled with a knee injury.

"He's a big, strong lad who will never gives up. He's a goalscorer and, with Cole Stockton unavailable, is someone who will add to our attacking options," said Tranmere boss Micky Adams.
